On 31 January 2021 the WA Government announced a 5-day lockdown from 6pm on 31 Jan 2021 to 6pm on Friday 5 Feb 2021.
Please refer to the information on the WA Government website at: https://www.wa.gov.au/organisation/covid-communications/covid-19-coronavirus-lockdown .
The WA Police Commissioner has released Stay at Home and Closure Directions under the State’s Emergency Management Act 2005 (WA) which are available at: https://www.wa.gov.au/sites/default/files/2021-01/310121-Stay-and-Home-and-Closure-Perth-Peel-and-South-West-Regions-Directions.pdf.
Under these directions, specifically 29(j)(i) and 29(l)(iv), our clinicians are required to only provide mental health services via telehealth (telephone, or videoconferencing) unless in “the instance of emergency clinical care for potentially life-threatening situations where telehealth is not clinically appropriate”.
As such, we have been contacting our clients who have appointments booked for the week 1-5 Feb 2021 to arrange telehealth sessions or to reschedule face-to-face appointments for after 5 Feb.
We are still answering our office telephones to attend to any queries and appointment matters, so don’t hesitate to call.
Any of our clients requiring emergency attention should present to their nearest hospital emergency department.
We will continue to provide updates here on the website and will be in contact with all our clients who have appointments this week.
